Welcome to Prek 4 at St Francis de Sales Catholic School. My name is Ronna Bievenour (Bee-ven-our). I am so excited to start my journey at St Francis this year.

I have taught for 30 years in Wicomico County Public Schools. I taught Pre-K4 and Kindergarten. My last teaching assignment was at Parkside CTE, teaching 9-12 grade Early Childhood Education.

I can’t wait to work with young children full time and watch them as they grow and learn. I believe in a
play-based approach to learning at this early age. Play is a young child’s work. I look forward to helping them become independent and problem solvers.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the California University of Pennsylvania and my master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I am also a Nationally Board-certified teacher as an Early Childhood Generalist and am a PD Specialist for the Preschool CDA certification.

I have been involved in Destination Imagination for over 14 years. Currently, I am the Co-Regional Director for the Eastern Region. I look forward to bringing DI back to St. Francis de Sales!
