Welcome to the Performing Arts and Technology area for St. Francis!

All State Choir music is available here. Mark your calendar, auditions are November 10th, at Broadneck High School in Anne Arundel County, time is TBD.

Teacher’s Bio

Mary-Tyler Upshaw is the Technology and Testing coordinator as well as the Director of Fine Arts. Currently she teaches technology, music and theatre, and directs our band and choir. An alumna of  Shenandoah Conservatory and Salisbury University, she holds a bachelor’s degree in music and a master’s degree in instruction and curriculum design.

Having taught at SFdS for three years, she utilizes project-based learning approaches in the classroom. Setting a goal for the class and then working with each student individually to determine what they need to reach a goal. As a leader of the S.T.R.E.A.M.S. initiative, she works with other teachers on interdisciplinary and cross-collaborative projects as much as possible.
