Upper School FAQ

General Information

When will the high school open?

The St. Francis de Sales Catholic High School will open in Fall 2026 with our Founding 9th Grade Class.

Will additional grades be added?

Yes. We will grow one grade level each year, allowing us to build a strong, intentional high school program. Our founding class will graduate as the first senior class.

Is this a fully accredited program?

Yes. Our high school program will meet all academic requirements and accreditation standards as part of St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.

Academics & Structure

What will academics look like?

Students will receive a rigorous, college-preparatory education rooted in Catholic values. Core subjects include Math, Science, English, Theology, and Social Studies, along with elective opportunities.

Will there be honors or advanced courses?

Yes. We are building a program that will include honors-level coursework and opportunities for academic advancement as the school grows. We will also have Dual Enrollment for our 11th & 12th Graders. 

Who will be teaching the high school classes?

Courses will be taught by qualified and experienced educators, including current St. Francis faculty and additional high school-level instructors.

Faith & Environment

Will the high school maintain a Catholic identity?

Absolutely. Faith is at the center of everything we do. Students will participate in theology classes, school Mass, prayer, and service opportunities.

Do students have to be Catholic to attend?

No. We welcome students of all faith backgrounds who are open to a values-based, faith-centered education.

Enrollment & Founding Class

How many students will be in the first class?

We are intentionally limiting our Founding 9th Grade Class to 20 students to ensure a personalized and supportive experience.

What makes the founding class special?

These students will help establish the traditions, leadership, and culture of our high school. They will have a unique and lasting impact on the future of St. Francis.

What is required to enroll?

To secure a seat, families must submit:

Is there a deadline to enroll?

Yes. We are seeking to secure 20 committed students by April 15, 2026.

Is there financial assistance available?

Yes. Families are encouraged to apply for ACE Scholarships and other financial aid opportunities. Additionally, thanks to a generous private donor, families who enroll by April 15 will receive $1,000 applied toward tuition.

Tuition & Payments

What is tuition?

Tuition for the 2026–2027 school year is $11,895.

What payment options are available?

We offer flexible payment plans to meet family needs, including:
  • Annual
  • Semi-annual (2 payments)
  • Three-payment plan
  • Monthly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Weekly

Student Life

Will sports be offered?

Yes. We are actively building our high school athletics program and collaborating with local athletic directors to create competitive opportunities for our students.

Will students be involved in clubs or activities?

Yes. As we grow, students will have opportunities to participate in clubs, leadership roles, and extracurricular activities.

Campus & Future Growth

Where will the high school be located?

The high school will begin on the current St. Francis de Sales campus.

Are there plans for expansion?

Yes. We have a long-term vision to expand our campus to include dedicated high school facilities such as classrooms, a courtyard, and student gathering spaces.

Transition & Fit

Is this a good fit for students coming from public school or homeschool?

Yes. We welcome students from public, private, and homeschool backgrounds. Our environment provides structure, support, and a strong sense of community during the important high school years.

How does this compare to larger public high schools?

St. Francis offers a smaller, more personalized environment where students are known, supported, and challenged academically and spiritually.
